Find the file you want to share in OneDrive or SharePoint, and select the circle in the upper corner. Select Share at the top of the page. Select Anyone with the link can edit to open Link settings. Uncheck Allow editing, and then turn on Block download. Add your message and send the invite. Open the person's OneDrive in your browser using the link you were given, select the files you want to copy, and click Copy to. Turn off OneDrive downloads for shared files. Use Office Online to access OneDrive. Click the share button when you’ve found the file you wish to share (it will appear if you hover over the file name).

To bypass the need to select "Attach a Copy" and download the file, you can use the Attach File method to browse to the file as you'd normally do but instead of selecting the file and pressing the Open button, select the file and press CTRL+C to copy the file. You can then press Cancel to close the Attach File dialog.
